Signs are welcomed and encouraged. We want to line the streets during rush hour traffic to build awareness to our cause. We suggest, however, that you remain positive in your outlook and come out FOR action, awareness, and change. Demand accountability & action! Let’s raise awareness within our communities and to our city lawmakers! It’s time to GET CREATIVE as we all come together and rally around the crucial issue of public safety.
Our last rally in Little Five Points received national press coverage. We expect the same this time around. This means we need you to come out!
Facebook invite here. Please RSVP and forward!

My name’s Dave Stanley. I was the would-be victim of violent crime in East Atlanta Village. The perpetrator’s name was Jamarcus Usher. I fought back, and refused to be a victim. I made it out alive that night. Unfortunately, Jamarcus Usher did not. I’m not angry at him for anything but the fact that he left me no choice. He would have killed me and my beloved girlfriend if I hadn’t acted. He had his gun drawn, pointed at me, and I couldn’t escape.
SO I FOUGHT BACK.
That’s the most American thing we can all do. Fight back no matter what. The Police in this city do what they can, and they do a good job. But they’ve been crippled by an incompetent system. It is our responsibility to protect ourselves.
I encourage everyone to exercise your God Given, and Constitutionally guaranteed right to protect yourself. But DO IT LEGALLY. Learn how to use a gun, get a Georgia Firearm’s permit. Purchase a weapon, and practice. Learn how to use it. Carry it with you at all times.
God favored me on January 15th. I don’t know why God protected me as he did, but he did. I’m grateful to be here, and grateful that I was prepared. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE, protect yourself, refuse to be a victim, and FIGHT BACK! But DO IT LEGALLY!!!
God Bless you all,
Dave Stanley

I live in the west lake community near Atlanta University Center. i heard about the rally through a recordd phone messgae from mary Norwood so i decided to check it out. I was very impressed and overwhelmed withthe amount of people out there. I was very inspired to see all the young people all the folks that didnt neccessarily live in that community but came out in support. it kind of put me in mind of the change that Obama had talked about during his campaign. It was great. SO great, I want to get involved now. Cant wait til the next event.
