Candlelight Vigil Tonight for Kavader McKibben
21-year-old Kavader M. McKibben was murdered while working Friday night at the Moreland Package Store (15 Moreland Ave). He was shot twice by 19 year-old Terrone Anthony. Residents of southeast Atlanta are encouraged to come pay their respects and show support for the victim and his family Monday night at 7pm. The vigil will take place in the parking lot of the Moreland Package Store.
Please bring a candle and some to share if you can.
We are fed up with the constant violence in the metro Atlanta area and we want our presence as a united community to be known.

Kirkwood Shooter in Custody
ATLANTA (MyFOX ATLANTA) – Terrance Hambrick is now charged with the attempted robbery and shooting of Kirkwood resident Kenneth Hagin. Hagin’s broad daylight attack alarmed many people who live in the northeast Atlanta community.
Thoughts and prayers still go out to Kenneth Hagin.

ATAC Rally Next Monday: Kirkwood
In response to the senseless shooting of Kenneth Hagen, Kirkwood residents have asked the next ATAC rally be held in their neighborhood. Next Monday, August 31st we will gather at Vinocity which is at 1963 Hosea Williams 30317. From 6 pm – 7:30 pm we will support the Kirkwood community and come together for better public safety awareness.

Man Shot While Working in Front Lawn
The AJC and 11 Alive report a man shot while mowing his lawn in Kirkwood.
Missing Person: Alicia Cook

The Atlanta Police Department Missing Persons Unit is seeking the public’s assistance in locating Alicia Cook. She is a 27 year old white female, 5’6” tall, 120 pounds and has burgundy hair. She was last seen at 372 Arizona Ave on January 19, 2009. Ms. Cook suffers from mental disorders and has not been taking her medications. Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Ms. Cook is asked to please call 911 or contact the Atlanta Police Missing Persons Unit at (404) 853-4235.
